Featured Face...Jennifer Megan Tennis!

Heat and humidity are always a concern when it comes to hair and make-up, but throw in a boat ride and you might be looking at a recipe for disaster!  But let me assure you, that was not at all the case when it came to the vow renewal/wedding reception for Jennifer Megan Tennis!

Jenn's wedding took place on July 10, 2010 at Crystal Point in Point Pleasant, NJ and like I said, not only was it a humid July day, but Jenn made her entrance in style...by boat!  She was breathe taking.  Stunning.  A vision of elegance, class and beauty which was all captured by her outstanding photographer:
Gary Flom Photography.

Jenn describes herself as laid back, but loves to get glammed up!  And glam she was!  From fabulous faux lashes to luscious lips; Jennifer's look was gorgeous!
Her eyes were dramatic and smokey and the perfect compliment to a softer lip.

On July 10, 2010 Jennifer Megan Tennis renewed her wedding vows to the love of her life and she did it with grace and elegance.  It was an honor to be a part of her day and provide her with just the right look that added to the perfection of a flawless day.

What Jenn has to say:  "Jamie is amazing. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she did it to a "T". She is amazing, a great make up artist, great friend and great person!"

Giving back a little...

Tomorrow I'll be demonstrating a few techniques and raffling off a few free make-overs at a local Mom's group.  The organization, Mother's of Preschoolers aka MOPs, is geared towards Mommy's of young children and is a fabulous organization, I attend meetings regularly myself!  This meeting is in honor of breast cancer awareness and taking care of yourself, from inside out...I'll be taking care of the "out"!

Fabulous Faves!

Just got back from the MAC counter and am so in love with the "Venomous Villains" line!  The whole line is based on the best Disney villains; Cruella, Maleficent, Evil Queen and Dr. Facilier.  My fave is the powder blush in "Bite of an Apple", inspired by the Evil Queen from Snow White.  The color is so refreshing and when applied right to apples of your cheek, no pun intended...OK, maybe a little intended, you get this fabulous, youthful glow.  Gorg!  Check it out below!

Fabulous Faves!

* Make-Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder - This translucent finishing powder not only sets your make up, it also softens the appearance of imperfections by evening out skin tone and leaving your complexion with a subtle glow and a finished look. And best of all, the universal shade is perfect for all skin tones. But be careful!!! If applied with a heavy hand, you can end up with a ghost like appearance, so in this case; less is more! Enjoy!

This product can be found at Sephora for around $30.

October...Be Aware!!!

When the season of fall comes to our minds, we often think of pumpkin lattes, cozy wrap sweaters, the perfect Halloween costume and of course, new boots!  But what we often forget, is that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  As women, this should be at the fore front of our minds.  Instead of swapping out summer clothes for fall fashion, we should be performing self breast exams and making sure we are update to date with our mammography's.

So in honor of October, BE AWARE!

Take care of yourself by calling your doctor to schedule your mammography and do your breast exam.  And why not show your support by rocking a lovely shade of pink!
